Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
No gifts had arrived yet, no visits from Santa Claus.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;
The children in bed were trying to stay warm
The heating too costly, and outside a snowstorm.

2020 had been such a difficult year
With COVID, no jobs and no hope of gifts to give here.
A mother sat sadly, no presents to wrap
When all of a sudden, something fell into her lap!
“The Magic Storybox is here” she cried
“CHRISTMAS IS SAVED”

A look out of the window – and Santa was there
With a sleigh full of parcels to make festive times fair.
Each child had a book and sweet treat or two
Wrapped up by the elves in Santa’s snowy igloo
Brought from the North Pole to be given on Christmas Day
Because every child should have a gift, whatever their parents’ pay

A book is gift of imagination, of hope and of joy
To bring happiness to the hearts of every girl, and every boy.
Magic for everyone, Christmas is a time to share,
Books for one and all – to show children that someone cares.

Santa sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight
“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”

2020 has been a strange year in so many ways – and we know it’s been incredibly hard for some families. The Magic Storybox is all about magic – and so we’d like to grant some of your wishes this Christmas. If you’re a parent or carer and unable to afford gifts for your children this Christmas, we’re here to help – casting a spell and sending out festive book parcels from ‘Santa’. We won’t tell if you won’t…

HOW DOES IT WORK?

All you need to do is fill in our form with a few details – kept completely confidential, of course. Just tell us the ages of your little ones, and why you’d like our Elves to send them a Christmas book and some treats – and we’ll handle the rest.

Please let us know about any allergies they might have, and if you can be as specific as you can about why you’d like to request a Christmas book parcel from Santa, we’d really appreciate it. We won’t be able to send a gift to everyone, unfortunately – but we will do our best to send as many as we can!

CAN I HELP OUT WITH THIS?

Wow – how generous of you, we’d love that. And yes, you can! You can make a donation to help out here.
